Different Versions of Monopoly
It’s important to note that different versions of Monopoly call for different numbers of players. For example, Monopoly: Rivals Edition was made for 2 players. It features a smaller board, no hotels, and only $100 and $50 bills to keep the game moving quickly.
The card games Monopoly Deal and Monopoly Bid were designed for between two and five players.
However, Monopoly: Mega Edition is best for larger groups and is perfect for six players or more.
Generally, playing with between three and five people will result in the best game experience. A typical game with this number of players will last around two hours.
