Earlier today, on June 23, Asobo Studio released a new extended trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem. This trailer follows shortly after the one from earlier this month. The new trailer shows us extended gameplay and reveals a release date for the game. A Plague Tale: Requiem will launch on October 18, 2022, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Additionally, Asobo Studio will be working with Nvidia to add RTX features to the PC version of the game, which includes ray tracing and DLSS.

    The Story

A Plague Tale: Requiem will be a direct sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence. In a Plague Tale: Innocence, we got to know Amicia and her younger brother Hugo. They had been pursued by Inquisition soldiers across France, and now they’re determined to start a new life in a new location. Unfortunately, Hugo’s powers reawaken, and the siblings must flee yet again. This time, however, they’re in search of a prophesized island that could hold the key to saving Hugo.

Furthermore, recall that a trailer from the Xbox and Bethesda Game event also showcased A Plague Tale: Requiem. This trailer highlighted the change that Amicia is going through after her appearance in the first game, clearly become darker and more brutal. Despite the changes, it’s clear she still cares deeply for Hugo.

    Gameplay

The extended trailer we got for A Plague Tale: Requiem today showed us more than just the release date. We were able to see quite a bit of the gameplay as well, so we watched as Amicia and Hugo were once again pursued by soldiers. This time, we see them craftily sneaking around, fighting, and unleashing rats to achieve their goal.
