Update Cyberpunk 2077 to version 2.5, then open the Radioport by holding right on the controller D-pad or pressing Z on a keyboard. Scroll to HKGN 102.0 FM and select it. You can also hear the station through a car or motorbike radio, or by interacting with a red radio in an apartment or landmark. There is no quest, Street Cred requirement, or special item you must obtain to start listening.
What is HKGN 102.0 FM?
HKGN 102.0 FM is the new in-game radio station added with Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5. Its programming includes official tracks associated with both Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Edgerunners 2.
The station is part of the game update rather than a collectible or quest reward. Once Update 2.5 is installed, you can select it during normal gameplay on foot, while driving, or at certain fixed radios around Night City.
CD PROJEKT RED PR Manager Joao De Mello described it this way:
“We’ve also added a new radio station, HKGN 102.FM, featuring official tracks from both ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ and ‘Edgerunners 2.’”
The patch-note spelling is HKGN 102.0 FM, which is the name used in the steps below. The shorter “HKGN 102.FM” wording appears in the quoted announcement.
Which platforms have Update 2.5?
CD PROJEKT RED’s launch announcement lists Update 2.5 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The station is available only after the game on your platform has received and installed that update.
| Platform listed for Update 2.5 | What you need to do |
|---|---|
| PC | Install Update 2.5 before launching the game. |
| Mac | Install Update 2.5 before launching the game. |
| PlayStation 5 | Install Update 2.5 before launching the game. |
| Xbox Series X|S | Install Update 2.5 before launching the game. |
The cited announcement does not establish availability for other platforms, so do not assume that a different edition has the station until its own update information confirms it.
How do I play HKGN 102.0 FM while walking?
The Radioport is the quickest method because it works while you are on foot. You do not need to enter a vehicle or find a radio in the environment.
- Start Cyberpunk 2077 after Update 2.5 has finished installing.
- During gameplay, hold right on the controller D-pad. On keyboard, press Z.
- When the Radioport station selector opens, scroll down the list to HKGN 102.0 FM.
- Select the station to begin playback.
Use a hold rather than a quick tap on a controller. If the selector does not appear, release the button, return to normal gameplay, and hold right on the D-pad again. Keyboard players should press Z while the game has focus rather than while a menu or text field is active.
Can I listen through a car or motorbike radio?
Yes. Enter a car or motorbike and use its radio controls to select HKGN 102.0 FM from the available stations. This route is convenient when you are already travelling through Night City, but it requires you to be in a vehicle.
The vehicle radio and Radioport access the same station. Choosing the Radioport is faster when you want music immediately without interrupting your route to find a vehicle.
Where are the red radios that play the station?
Red radios in apartments and certain landmarks provide a stationary listening option. Approach an interactable red radio and use the on-screen interaction prompt, then select HKGN 102.0 FM from its station choices.
This method is useful when you are already inside an apartment or visiting a landmark. It is not a prerequisite: the Radioport remains available for on-foot listening, and a vehicle radio works while driving.
Do I need a quest, item, or Street Cred level to unlock it?
No quest or special item is required. The station is available through the normal radio interfaces after Update 2.5 is installed; the cited guide also identifies no Street Cred threshold.
You therefore do not need to complete an Edgerunners 2 mission, collect an anime-related object, or reach a particular point in the story before trying the station.
Which listening method should I use?
All three routes play HKGN 102.0 FM, but each suits a different situation.
| Access method | Best use | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Radioport | Starting the station quickly anywhere, including while walking | You must open the station selector with right on the D-pad or Z. |
| Vehicle radio | Listening naturally while driving a car or motorbike | You must be inside a vehicle. |
| Red apartment or landmark radio | Playing music while you are already at a fixed location | You must reach an interactable red radio. |
What songs are on the Edgerunners 2 station?
CD PROJEKT RED confirms that the station contains official tracks from both anime series. However, the cited publisher material does not provide a complete, track-by-track official playlist.
Beebom reported a list of around 16 songs based on player reports in 2026. Treat the following as a community-reported snapshot, not as a definitive playlist issued by CD PROJEKT RED:
- “You Can’t Run From Me” — Sugar Trap Queen
- “Sandevistan” — KIRA VOID
- “Worth It” — D1550N4NC3
- “Overheated” — KIRA VOID
- “The Descent” — KIRA VOID
- “No Future, No Past” — Slide!
- “In Love With Myself” — Chroma
- “Run to the Edge” — KWAXOL PZN X P.A.T.O.L. GCW
- “Rising Panic” — Slide!
- “High Forever” — Altereal
- “A Rusty Dream” — Aum Loop
- “Boya” — Original KRD 3000
- “Welcome Back to Night City” — Slide!
- “Daj Mi Jeszcze Jedną Szansę” — Piernikowski
- “Serce” — Underground
- “Watson” — Zoology
If a song you expect is not present, that does not prove the station is missing. The publisher has confirmed the station’s Edgerunners connection, while the complete official sequence has not been published in the material cited here.
What should I do if HKGN 102.0 FM does not appear?
Work through the checks below in order. The station is introduced by Update 2.5, so an older game build is the most important thing to rule out.
- Confirm the version: Check your platform’s game information and make sure Cyberpunk 2077 reports Update 2.5, not an earlier build.
- Finish the update: If the platform is still downloading or applying the patch, wait until installation is complete before launching.
- Use the correct control: Hold right on the controller D-pad or press Z on keyboard to open Radioport. Tapping the D-pad may not open it.
- Scroll through the full list: HKGN 102.0 FM is lower in the station selector, so continue scrolling rather than stopping at the first entries.
- Try another access point: Enter a car or motorbike, or interact with a red radio in an apartment or landmark, and check the station list there.
- Check platform coverage: The launch announcement specifically lists PC, Mac, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Availability on another edition requires confirmation from that edition’s update information.
No quest marker or special inventory item is needed. Looking for an unlock mission will not make the station appear faster.
Can I use the station before watching Edgerunners 2?
Yes. The radio station is an in-game feature added by Update 2.5 and does not require you to watch either anime series. The music may include references and artists connected with both shows, but listening is independent of your viewing order.
CD PROJEKT RED’s announcement says the original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Edgerunners 2 are available to stream exclusively on Netflix for readers who want that context. Watching them is optional and has no bearing on access to HKGN 102.0 FM.
What is the fastest way to start listening?
For most players, the shortest route is: install Update 2.5, return to gameplay, hold right on the controller D-pad or press Z, scroll to HKGN 102.0 FM, and select it. Use a vehicle or a red environmental radio only when those are more convenient than opening Radioport.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I sometimes see the name HKGN 102.FM instead of HKGN 102.0 FM?
The publisher’s announcement uses the shortened form “HKGN 102.FM,” while the Update 2.5 patch-note spelling includes “.0.” They refer to the same station; use HKGN 102.0 FM when searching the in-game list.
Is the reported 16-song playlist an official soundtrack list?
No. The approximately 16-track list comes from player reports summarized by Beebom in 2026. CD PROJEKT RED confirms the station’s Edgerunners content but has not published a complete official track-by-track list in the cited material.
Do I have to buy a separate Edgerunners 2 soundtrack or radio item?
No separate soundtrack purchase or collectible is identified as a requirement. HKGN 102.0 FM is delivered through the Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 radio systems.
Is the station available on every version of Cyberpunk 2077?
The launch announcement specifically lists PC, Mac, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. For any other edition, check that edition’s own Update 2.5 information rather than assuming the station is included.
