The Persona series focuses heavily on building relationships. The closer you become to your friends, the more powerful skills you’ll be able to utilize in battle.
Confidant levels are increased after spending time with your friends, but in between these hangouts, there are ways to increase your relationships without spending time on an outing. Giving gifts is an easy way to show your friends you care–and earn a few bonus points too.
You may think that a more expensive gift will yield a better result, but that isn’t always the case. Below, we’ve listed the best gifts for each confidant, where to purchase them, how many points you’ll earn, the cost of each gift, and any helpful notes you may need.
In the original release of Persona 5, you could only give gifts to female confidants. In Persona 5 Royal, however, male confidants will accept gifts as well. The gift catalog has also been slightly altered, with some items appearing in the vanilla title no longer available.
Additionally, in the original release of Persona 5, certain gifts could only be given once you were in a romantic relationship with a specific confidant. This is no longer the case in Persona 5 Royal–no romantic relationships are required to give any of the gifts listed below.
