Final Fantasy IX is four discs. It was originally released on the Playstation 1. The Playstation is the only console that Final Fantasy IX had physical copies for that used discs. A physical copy of Final Fantasy IX was released for the Nintendo Switch, which uses cartridges instead of discs.
Final Fantasy IX was also released on many other consoles as a digital download.
