NieR Automata: The End of YorHa Edition Announced for Switch at Today’s Nintendo Direct Mini

Today, a Nintendo Direct Mini was held to showcase numerous third-party games coming to the Switch, including multiple Persona games and NieR Automata: The End of YoRHa Edition. NieR Automata: The End of YoRHa Edition launches on October 6, 2022.

    Differences Between NieR Automata and NieR Automata: The End of YoRHa Edition

    There are some major differences between the base game for NieR Automata and The End of YoRHa Edition that will be coming to the Switch. The End of YoRHa Edition specifically includes:

    • Three new outfits
    • Challenging battles in three very different colosseums
    • New story elements
    • New hairsprays and accessories
    • New Jukebox tracks

    The Story

    In the trailer, we see the story of NieR Automata: The End of YoRHa Edition showcased. Machine lifeforms have overwhelmed the planet and caused humans to have to take refuge on the moon. The humans are using an android squad called YoRHa to stand against the machines and are trying to reclaim their planet. The story is centered around a battle android, 2B, and a scanner android, 9S.

    Exclusive to Nintendo Switch Version

    It looks like we will be getting even more than just the upgraded version of the original NieR Automata. In today’s trailer, Nintendo specified that there will be new costumes specific to the Nintendo Switch version of this game, and they will be available immediately at launch.
