The Bourgeois Boy is a side quest in Octopath Traveler 2 that’s given to you by the Wealthy Boy located in his house next to the Inn in New Delsta, Brightlands. It seems this wealthy, pretentious individual is never satisfied.

    Normal Healing Grapes and Inspiriting Plums Won’t Do

    When you speak to the Wealthy Boy, he’ll ask for a grape. If you give him a Healing Grape, he’ll insult you and toss you a few leaves. You’ll also notice that the orange bubble above his head hasn’t disappeared, meaning the quest isn’t over.

    Talk to him again and he’ll say he wants “one of those,” referring to an Inspiriting Plum. Give it to him and he’ll toss you a few leaves and let you know you don’t have a mind of your own. You’ll notice the orange bubble still persists.

    You need to do the cycle at least once, but if you keep doing this, the cycle will just continue to repeat itself. Use a Path Action such as Scrutinize and learn a bit about him, including where his father lives.

    Go to the Church in Canalbrine

    Travel to the Church in Canalbrine to find the Wealthy Boy’s Father. Speak to him to learn he’s worried about his son becoming a burden to society.

    Use a Path Action to recruit the Wealthy Boy’s Father and bring him back to New Delsta. Speak to the Wealthy Boy and watch the story unfold.
