The Function of the Crusher
The Crusher is a building on your boat that you can use to crush different types of rocks and other materials. You simply put up to five of the same item into the Crusher, play the mini-game, and receive the crushed form of whatever you inserted. The following are all the items you can insert into the Crusher and what they turn into:
Input | Output |
---|---|
Sugar Cane | Sugar |
Limestone | Lime Powder |
Quartz | Silica Powder |
Corn | Corn Flour |
Coal | Carbon Powder |
Sunflower Seed | Sunflower Oil |
Comet Rock | Comet Powder |
Olive | Olive Oil |
Apple, Egg, or Carrot Seed | Failed Experiment |
Note that you can only craft the Failed Experiment and Corn Flour after Stanley’s quest to experiment with all the crafted buildings.
How to Unlock the Crusher
The Crusher will not be available to build right at the start of the game. To build it, you’ll need to get its Blueprint. To obtain the Blueprint, meet up with Bruce and Mickey and wait for them to mention the Smash! Smash! quest. Bruce and Mickey are located at the Southpoint Docks. However, you cannot reach them unless you’ve upgraded your boat to have the Rock Destroyer.

How to Build the Crusher
Since the Crusher is a Production Building, you can construct more than one Crusher. Through the first four that you make, the cost will increase by the original base cost. Thus, the cost of each Crusher will be as follows:
Copy | Pulsar Ingots | Ash Planks | Zinc Ingots |
---|---|---|---|
First (base cost) | 7 | 15 | 5 |
Second | 14 | 30 | 10 |
Third | 21 | 45 | 15 |
Fourth and up | 28 | 60 | 20 |
Where to Get the Materials
