Tactics Ogre: Reborn Announcement
Earlier today, Square Enix announced an upcoming remake of Tactics Ogre. The new game will be called Tactics Ogre: Reborn, and it will be launching on November 11, 2022. The game will be available on the PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. This will be an enhancement of the original Tactics Ogre, with improved graphics and sound, improved battle mechanics, updated game design, and more.
The Original Tactics Ogre
In 1995, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together was first released in Japan. A few years later in 1998, it was ported to PlayStation and released for North America. Unlike the previous game in the Ogre Battle series—Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen—Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together featured turn-based battles, detailed pixel art, and a branching story with multiple endings. In 2010, a remake of this game was created for the PlayStation Portable. Now, Square Enix is making Tactics Ogre: Reborn, which will be a remake of the 2010 version of the game.
