Silver Ore is a raw material in Subnautica used to craft various electronics. There are a lot of them in this game, but you’ll have an easier time gathering them once you know where to look.

Where to Find Silver Ore in Subnautica
You can find Silver Ore in Subnautica by destroying Sandstone Outcrops or harvesting Barnacles. You have a 37.5% chance of getting a Silver Ore from a Sandstone Outcrop while you only have a 10% chance of harvesting one from a Barnacle.
Thankfully, Sandstone Outcrops are much more common than Barnacles, especially early on in the game. Here are the biomes in the game that contain this harvesting node.
- Bulb Zone
- Crag Field
- Crash Zone
- Deep Sparse Reef
- Dunes
- Grand Reef
- Grassy Plateaus
- Kelp Forest
- Lost River
- Bone Fields
- Ghost Forest
- Tree Cove
- Mountains Corridor
- Mountains
- Mushroom Forest
- Safe Shallows
- Sea Treader’s Path
- Underwater Islands
While you only have a 10% chance of getting Silver Ores from Barnacles, you should still take the time to try whenever you come across them. They’re only found on the bodies of Reefback Leviathans.
Occasionally, you can also stumble upon Large Resource Deposits of Silver Ores while exploring The Lost River, Mountains, Underwater Islands, Crag Field, and Dunes. A Large Resource Deposit of Silver Ores will usually drop about 9 to 18 of the material.
