Today, a rating for Bayonetta 3 was spotted on the Nintendo Store. Before now, the rating had been pending. The rating of Bayonetta 3 could imply that we’ll be seeing a release date for the game soon.

Bayonetta 3 has been one of the most anticipated games. It was first announced all the way back in 2017 during The Game Awards. Following this, about a year ago, Nintendo shared the first real look at Bayonetta 3. As of this time of writing, the game does not have a specific release date, though it’s set to arrive sometime in 2022.

Today, however, it was spotted on the Nintendo Store that Bayonetta 3 has finally received a rating of “M” for “Mature.” This is noteworthy, because the rating has been pending for quite a while up through this point. It is not uncommon for a game to get a release date following its rating, so this bodes well for future news on Bayonetta 3.

On the Nintendo Store, they’ve highlighted Bayonetta’s new ability in this upcoming game: Demon Masquerade. According to Nintendo, this new ability “channels the demon linked to her weapon allowing for some exciting action options, not to mention some hair-raising combos.” Bayonetta will also be able to summon demons like Gomorrah, Malphas, and Phantasmaraneae during battle.

Bayonetta 3 will be a single-player game coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch.
