A Prattling Pate is a tool in Elden Ring that emits a voice that says a word or a phrase. Although they’re non-consequential when it comes to combat or exploration, players use them endearingly when playing with others online.

The Use of Prattling Pates in Elden Ring
Each Prattling Pate in Elden Ring corresponds to one specific word or phrase. As mentioned above, this item has no use in combat or exploration at all.
It’s mostly used by players in Co-op or Invasions and PvP to greet, compliment, or challenge other players.
One Prattling Pate, however, does have an effect on one NPC questline. If you use the Prattling Pate “You’re beautiful” on Boc, he’ll appreciate his looks and be content with how he is. Otherwise, he’ll consider using Rennala’s Rebirth ability to turn into a human. If he chooses this path, he’ll die after transforming.

Prattling Pate “Hello”
You’ll find this Prattling Pate in Stormfoot Catacombs, located in Limgrave.
As you progress through this area, you’ll come across a pillar that shoots out a stream of fire. This Prattling Pate is on a corpse behind the first fire-breath pillar that you find.
Prattling Pate “Thank you”
The Prattling Pate “Thank you” is in Tombsward Catacombs, which you’ll find in Weeping Peninsula.
From the Site of Grace, keep pressing on until you find a pillar that, once again, shoots out fire, similar to the one in the Stormfoot Catacombs. Head to the pathway to the left of the pillar and you’ll find a corpse on the ground. Loot it to get the Prattling Pate.
Prattling Pate “Apologies”
This Prattling Pate “Apologies” is in the Unsightly Catacombs in Mt. Gelmir.
Make your way through this Misbegotten-infested level until you reach the lever that opens the door to the boss room. From the lever, go around to get to the body that’s hanging on the ledge. Loot it to get the Prattling Pate.
Prattling Pate “Wonderful”
The Prattling Pate “Wonderful” is in Cliffbottom Catacombs in Liurnia.
Keep going through the level until you reach a descending flight of stairs that you can drop from either side. You’ll land in a dark area with patches of bushes and an Omen enemy lurking. Go around the eastern wall and you’ll find this Prattling Pate on a body on the ground.
Prattling Pate “Please help”
The Prattling Pate “Please help” is in the Impaler’s Catacombs in Weeping Peninsula.
Continue onward until you reach the room that has a floor that rises up once stepped on. Send the floor up, retreat to the stairs, then head to the area below. Head to the next room from here and you’ll find a flooded section that’s filled with zombies. The Prattling Pate is on the body at the foot of the pillar to the left.
Prattling Pate “Let’s get to it”
The Prattling Pate “Let’s get to it” is in the Sainted Hero’s Grave in Altus Plateau.
You can find the Prattling Pate in the room where a shadow Grave Warden Duelist is waiting for you.
Prattling Pate “You’re beautiful”
The Prattling Pate “You’re beautiful” is in the Hermit Village in Mt. Gelmir.
You’ll find this Prattling Pate on a body that’s lying at the side of the second house to the right if you enter the village from the south.
Prattling Pate “My beloved”
The Prattling Pate “My beloved” is on Miquella’s Haligtree.
Start from the Haligtree Canopy Site of Grace and start heading towards the east until you’re standing on a narrow branch. Look underneath you and you’ll find a tall plant that has a body on top of it. That’s where the Prattling Pate is. Make your way to it to loot the body. Refer to the image above for the exact location of the Prattling Pate.
