    Fighting Darriwil with Blaidd

If you want to make this fight easier, you have the option to summon Blaidd to fight alongside you. Blaidd is very effective here. In fact, you can sit back and allow him to fight and defeat Darriwil on his own.

To summon Blaidd, you must first hear him howling while exploring Mistwood. Then, head to the Church of Elleh and speak to Merchant Kale. He’ll teach you a new Gesture that you can use around Blaidd to make him come to you.

With that, head to the northeastern edge of Mistwood Ruins and use the Finger Snap Gesture. Blaidd will then jump down to you.

Blaidd's first location in Elden Ring.

Speak with him and he’ll tell you about Darriwil. His summon sign will then appear when you step inside the Forlorn Hound Evergaol.

    Defeating Darriwil

If you wish to fight Darriwil alone, be very careful as he is both fast and strong. His slashes also inflict blood loss build-up, which will chip away 15% of your overall health once filled.

You can avoid most of his slashes by dodging into him. Only land a hit of your own once he finishes his combos, as he has a tendency to string attacks together.

If you’re used to parrying, you can also parry all of his attacks, except for his jumping slam move.

Darriwil will also dash swiftly around the arena, similar to how the Bloodhound Step Ash of War works.

Once defeated, you can finally acquire the Bloodhound’s Fang Curved Greatsword.
