Recovery Potions
There are three types of Recovery Potions in Terraria: Health Potions, Mana Potions, and Recovery Potions that heal both Health and Mana. You will also need a Placed Bottle or an Alchemy Table to craft these Recovery Potions yourself!
The Potion Sickness and Mana Sickness debuffs limit how often you can use Potions. Hard Mode accessories such as the Charms of Myths and Philosopher’s Stone can reduce the duration of Potion Sickness.

Food and Drink Potions
There are three types of buffs you will get from the Food and Drink Potions in Terraria: Well Fed, Plenty Satisfied, and Exquisitely Stuffed. These are a must when exploring unfamiliar or dangerous areas—especially when playing in Expert Mode.
Food and Drink Potions have a duration range of 4 to 48 minutes and can be canceled any time. Although some can be picked up, you will need a Cooking Pot or a Cauldron to craft the rest of the Potions.
Well Fed Potions
Well Fed Buff Potions will slightly boost your stats. It has a chicken leg and 1 star icon. These are the following boosts you will get: +5% damage, +2% critical hit, +0.5 minion knockback, +2 defense, +5% melee and mining speed, and +20% movement speed.

Tipsy/Drunk Potions
Tipsy Potions increase your melee stats while decreasing your defense. It provides you with the following effects: +10% melee damage, +10% melee speed, +2% melee critical hit, and -4 defense.
Unfortunately, the only Drunk Potion called “Wiesnbräu” is a 3DS-only content. Upon consuming it, you will receive half damage but you can also only deal half your damage.
