Leif doesn’t follow a consistent schedule for visiting your island, so you’ll need to either wait or tinker around with the date and time settings on your Switch to find him. He visits once every two weeks between the hours of 5AM to 10PM. However, Leif will not always have Wheat Starts in stock, so even if you find him, you may need to do so multiple times.
Once you’ve obtained the Wheat Starts, you can plant them, wait for them to grow, and then harvest the Wheat. But if this process sounds too laborious, you can unlock Leif’s shop on Harv’s Island Plaza and purchase from Leif there instead.
