Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Every Legendary Pokémon & Where to Find Them

The four hidden legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are scattered across the Paldea region. To find them—the Treasures of Ruin—you must trigger all of the ominous black stakes and seek out the four shrines.

Location of Every Shrine

Each of the four shrines contains a legendary Pokémon. However, before entering a shrine, you must activate all eight ominous black stakes for that particular location. Overall, there are 32 ominous black stakes. Each type of black stake is color-coded to the shrine with which they are paired.

Location of Grasswither Shrine

Grasswither Shrine is in South Province Area One. However, the quickest way here is to fly to the Pokémon Center in the southeast of South Province Area Five and then travel southwest. The entrance to the shrine is embedded in a cliff that faces southwest. This shrine is the home of Wo-Chien, which looks like a black and green snail.

Location of Firescrouge Shrine

Firescourge Shrine is in North Province Area Two. The fastest way here is to fly to Fury Falls and then go south and a bit east. Climb the waterfall-covered cliffs until you reach a cave at the top. The shrine is within this cave. This location is the residence of Chi-Yu, which looks like a goldfish made out of flames.

Location of Icerend Shrine

Icerend Shrine is in West Province Area One. The most efficient way here is to fly to the Pokémon Center at West Province (Area One) – Central and then go northwest. Once you reach a plateau that seems like a dead end, drop down the cliff to the west to find a lower plateau with the shrine entrance. This entrance will be embedded in a cliff wall facing the west. This shrine is the abode of Chien-Pao, which looks like a large white weasel with huge fangs.

Location of Groundblight Shrine

Groundblight Shrine is on Socarrat Trail. The swiftest way here is to fly to Casseroya Lake (Islet) and then venture north and a bit west. Once you reach the south of Socarrat Trail, cross the river to the north. When you spot a canyon leading further north, follow it and you end up in front of the shrine entrance. This shrine belongs to Ting-Lu, which looks like a brown moose with a bowl on its head.

What You Need to Know About Wo-Chien

Wo-Chien is a Dark and Grass-type Pokémon. When you engage it in battle, it is at level 60 and knows Giga Drain, Ruination, Foul Play, and Power Whip. Its highest stat is its Special Defense.

This Pokémon’s ability is Tablets of Ruin. This ability lowers the Attack stat of all Pokémon on the field except for the user by 25%.
