Hogwarts Legacy offers multiple enemy types for you to battle, from massive beasts and creepy crawlies to Dark Wizards and Goblins. A few of these are enemies called Infamous Foes. They’re tougher than regular enemies and can provide decent rewards upon defeat.

What Are Infamous Foes
Infamous Foes are the game’s minibosses. At their core, they are just regular enemies that are given more health. Some of them are also given proper names or nicknames.
Considering their status, a handful of the Infamous Foes appear as bosses you fight at the end of some side quests, and even during a handful of main quests. However, the rest of them are just out there in the open world, waiting for a young wizard or witch to duel.
If you’re to go out there and fight these foes, be prepared for quite a challenge. While, as mentioned, they’re just regular enemies that are given more health, that’s not a small difference. The HP and defense do make these enemies feel like mini-bosses. On top of that, a lot of them are also accompanied by mobs.
Where to Find the Infamous Foes
There are 21 Infamous Foes in Hogwarts Legacy. Here’s where or how to find each of them and what to expect from each encounter.
The Absconder
You’ll fight this Infamous Foe at the end of the “Absconder Encounter” side quest. This is given to you by an NPC named Edgar Adley in Aranshire, South Hogwarts Region. The Absconder is a giant spider. All the best!
The Insatiable Spider
Yet another giant spider miniboss, you get to have the pleasure of fighting this enemy during the “Tangled Web” side quest. This quest is given to you by Crispin Dunne in The Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade.
Gwendolyn Zhou
Gwendolyn Zhou is another Dark Witch you can fight. You’ll face her during the “A Basis for Blackmail” relationship side quest with Natty Onai.
Grodbik
Grodbik is a Goblin you fight during the “Lodgok’s Loyalty” main quest.
Riparian Troll
You fight this troll during the “Beeting a Curse” side quest. You can begin this quest by speaking to Samantha Dale in the Greenhouses in Hogwarts.
Bardolph Beaumont’s Corpse
Bardolph Beaumont’s Corpse is an Inferius. You fight him during the “Brother’s Keeper” side quest, given to you by Claire Beaumont in Upper Hogsfield.
Catrin Haggarty
Catrin Haggarty is a Dark Witch you fight during “The Lost Child” relationship quest with Natty.
Pergit
Pergit is a Goblin you fight during “The Tale of Rowland Oakes” side quest. You can begin this quest by speaking to Adelaide Oaks in the Transfiguration Courtyard in Hogwarts.
Alexandra’s Troll
You fight the troll during the “Troll Control” side quest. This quest is given to you by Alexandra Ricket in Brocburrow, Hogwarts Valley.
Tempeste Thorne
Tempest Thorne is a Dark Witch you can fight in Falbarton Castle in Hogsmeade Valley. Get ready for a wizardly duel in this encounter.
Rampant Dugbog
Dugbogs are not as big or tough as the other monsters and enemies. However, they can be very threatening, especially at lower levels and when your spells arsenal isn’t complete yet. Either way, facing the Rampant Dugbog will be enjoyable. You’ll find him southeast of the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame.
The Grim and The White Wolf
Two Infamous Foes in one! The Grim and The White Wolf are wolves you fight in a cave in Hogwarts Valley. The cave it’s in is west of Keenbridge. The entrance to the cave is a hole in the ground, to the left of the waterfall.
Quagmire Troll
The Quagmire Troll rests in an open area west of The Mine’s Eye in Hogwarts Valley.
Belgruff the Bludgeoner
You’ll find Belgruff in Rookwood Castle, northwest of Feldcroft. He isn’t too tough of an enemy, but he also isn’t alone. He’ll be joined by his fellow Goblins in attempting to take you down.
Oggbert the Old
Ogbert the Old is another Goblin miniboss. You’ll find him in the Coastal Cavern. He’ll be in one of the final caverns.
Iona Morgan
Iona Morgan is a Dark Witch found in Poidsear Castle. She’ll be fighting alongside other Dark Wizards and Witches.
Ailsa Travers and the Lord of the Manor
There’s an underground cavern, under a ruined manor northwest of West Manor Cape. You’ll need a level 3 Alohamora to enter the area. Inside, you’ll find a group of dark witches and wizards. Leading them are Ailsa Travers and the Lord of the Manor.
Dunstan Trinity
Dustin Trinity is found in Henrietta’s Hideaway, south of the West Manor Cape Floo Flame. You’ll find him along with his Ashwinder buddies here.
Silvanus Selwun
Silvanus Selwun is a Dark Wizard. You’ll find him and his fellow Dark Wizards and Witches inside Clagmar Castle on Clagmar Coast.
