The White Mask is one of the more recognizable armor pieces in Elden Ring. Mainly, this is due to it being worn by Varre, the first NPC you meet in the game. This mask is particularly great for bleed builds.

Where to Find the White Mask Headpiece
Since the White Mask is a part of the War Surgeon armor set, you’ll receive the mask along with the other pieces of the entire set.
The War Surgeon Set is dropped by Nameless White Mask invaders. These enemies will invade you in Mohgwyn Palace, in the blood lake northwest of the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace.
Once here, you’ll be invaded by three Nameless White Mask enemies. The one that drops the War Surgeon set, thus the White Mask headpiece, is the one that spawns near the giant crow, close to the ledge.
Take note: you will need to do this before defeating Mohg, Lord of Blood. Once this boss has been defeated, you won’t be invaded by NPCs in the area anymore. This means you’ll need to wait until the next playthrough to get another chance of obtaining the White Mask if you’ve defeated Mohg already.
What Does the White Mask Do?
The White Mask makes bleed builds even stronger.
Once worn, your attack power will increase by 10% for 20 seconds whenever a blood loss occurs. This can even be stacked with the Lord of Blood’s Exultation talisman to boost your attack power even further.
