Key Takeaway

You can get to Radahn by using the waygate on Fort Gael or on the Impassable Greatbridge to get inside Redmane Castle once the Radahn Festival begins. You can ensure the festival has begun by resting at a Site of Grace in Altus Plateau or by progressing Ranni’s questline.

Radahn is a renowned demigod and boss in Elden Ring. It’s also known that to fight him, one must attend the Radahn Festival. There are several ways to get to this festival so you can fight this powerful demigod.

    Starting the Radahn Festival

Starscourge Radahn can be found in the open field beyond Redmane Castle. You can already visit this castle as early as you can, granted you’ll need to fight your way through a horde of powerful enemies to get there.

You can make things easier for yourself by only going there once the Radahn Festival begins. This will activate two waygates in Caelid which will teleport you outside the castle’s main plaza.

Although you can get to this plaza before the Radahn Festival begins by fighting your way through Redmane Castle, you won’t actually get to Radahn yet. The festival needs to begin first before you can get the chance to fight the demigod.

There are two ways to jump-start the Radahn Festival.

The first and simpler way is to progress enough in the game so that you reach the Altus Plateau. Once here, activate any Site of Grace. Return to Redmane Castle after this, and you’ll find that the festival has begun.

The second way is to progress Ranni’s quest line. Here are the exact steps you’ll need to take:

    • Meet Ranni at Ranni’s Rise in the Three Sisters, past Caria Manor in Liurnia.
    • Head to Siofra River and meet with Blaidd. He’ll then tell you that he hasn’t found a way to Nokron yet.
    • Make your way to Seluvis’ tower in the Three Sisters. Talk to him about Blaidd’s issue and he’ll tell you to seek out Sellen.
    • You’ll find Sellen at the Waypoint Ruins basement in Limgrave. Speak to her here and present Seluvis’ Introduction letter. She’ll then tell you about Radahn and how he affects Ranni’s fate.

Once these requirements are met, the Radahn Festival will begin.

    Getting to Redmane Castle

Now that the Radahn Festival has begun, you can make your way to one of two waygates in Caelid so that you’ll be teleported right outside where the festival is being held.

The first waygate is on the roof of Fort Gael.

Fort Gael as shown on the map.

The second waygate is on the other end of the Impassable Greatbridge outside Redmane Castle. Although the waygate is located outside the castle itself, this will teleport you deeper inside the castle, closer to the main plaza.

Once inside, speak to Jerren and he’ll tell you the story of how Radahn became what he is now. Once done, proceed onwards and you’ll find an elevator that will take you to the shores below.

Ride it down and you’ll spot a waygate ahead. Use this waygate and you’ll finally get to Radahn.
