To use Incantations in Elden Ring, you’ll need to obtain a Sacred Seal. There are nine different Sacred Seals in the game and some of them strengthen a certain Incantation sub-type.

Here are all nine Sacred Seals in Elden Ring, which Incantation sub-type they boost, and how to obtain them.

    Finger Seal

The Finger Seal from Elden Ring.

Consider the Finger Seal as the “milquetoast” Sacred Seal available in Elden Ring. As such, it doesn’t boost any Incantation type.

This comes as a starting weapon if you begin with the Confessor or Prophet class. Otherwise, you can purchase it from the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold for 800 Runes.

    Erdtree Seal

The location of the Erdtree Seal in Elden Ring.

You can find the Erdtree Seal in the Volcano Manor legacy dungeon in Mt. Gelmir. It is in a cell northeast of a burning stake in the lower town outside the Prison Town Site of Grace. There’s an Omenkiller enemy lurking in this area.

The Erdtree Seal doesn’t boost any Incantation type, but it benefits from a very high Incantation scaling. If you’re planning on utilizing multiple types of Incantations, you’ll get more out of this Sacred Seal at higher levels.

    Golden Order Seal

The location of the Golden Order Seal in Elden Ring.

You can loot this from a corpse found in the Minor Erdtree Church in Leyndell, Royal Capital.

This Sacred Seal boosts Golden Order Incantations by 10%.

    Gravel Stone Seal

The Knight that drops the Gravel Stone Seal in Leyndell.

The Gravel Stone Sacred Seal is dropped by the spear-wielding knight northwest of the Fortified Manor in Leyndell. The said manor is the one that’s identical in structure and design to the Roundtable Hold. You can reach this vicinity by starting at the West Capital Rampart Site of Grace and jumping over the balcony to the right.

The knight is standing right beside the dead dragon’s foot, backed by another knight that’s wielding a bow.

This Sacred Seal boosts Dragon Cult Incantations by 15%.

    Giant’s Seal

You can find the Giant’s Seal in the Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave, located on the Mountaintop of the Giants. As you go along this catacomb, you’ll find yourself facing a troll in a large hall. The elevator you use to descend to this area has an opening you can fit in at the bottom.

That said, raise this elevator, use the lever to send it back down, and enter the opening to go down with it. From here, simply move forward and proceed to the hall on the left where you’ll find a ladder to climb on. The Giant’s Seal is in this area, to the right of a Prelate enemy.

The Giant’s Seal boosts Fire Giant Incantations and Fire Monk Incantations by 20%.

    Godslayer’s Seal

The Godslayer Seal from Elden Ring.

The Godslayer’s Seal is found in Stormveil Castle. What you’ll want to do first is to fast travel to the Liftside Chamber Site of Grace. Pass through the door to the east, onto the courtyard with multiple enemies.

Look over to the door to the south and you’ll notice a dark opening to its right. This is where you’ll want to head. You’ll need to unlock this area with a Stonesword Key.

Once inside, you’ll find four rats and a door to another room. Head to the room to find a chest. You’ll pick up the Godslayer’s Seal in this chest.

The Godslayer’s Seal boosts Godskin Apostle Incantations by 10%.

    Clawmark Seal

    The Tarnished speaking to Gurranq.

The Clawmark Seal is given to you by Gurranq Beast Clergyman after being fed one Deathroot. You’ll find this creature in the Bestial Sanctum.

You can either manually travel to this place, which is located in northeastern Caelid, or you can simply arrive here by using a waygate in Limgrave. The location of this waygate will appear on your map after you defeat the Tibia Mariner in the Summonwater Village in northern Liurnia. Then, speak to D and he’ll give you the location of the waygate.

The Clawmark Seal will increase the effectiveness of Bestial Incantations by 10%.

    Frenzied Flame Seal

The Frenzied Flame Seal from Elden Ring.

You receive the Frenzied Flame Seal after completing Hyetta’s questline.

This seal boosts Frenzied Flame Incantations by 20%. When used as a melee weapon, it will cause a minor Madness buildup.

    Dragon Communion Seal

The Dragon Communion Seal from Elden Ring.

The Dragon Communion Seal is found at the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave. This area is accessed by using two Stonesword Keys on the Imp Statue to the right of the Stranded Grave Site of Grace in Limgrave.

After running through two descending passageways, you’ll find two other converging paths. One of them leads below, and one leads up. Take the latter path. At the end of this area is a room with an enemy. Defeat this enemy and you’ll receive the Dragon Communion Seal.

This seal boosts Dragon Communion Incantations by 15%.
