There are many different types of power armor you can get in Fallout 4—each providing its own unique set of stats to aid you in your journey. Here’s how you can get each one of them.
Table Of Contents
Empty Power Armor Frame
You won’t be very well protected while wearing this kind of power armor. It is essentially just the skeleton of a suit with no limbs, torso, or head. If you pick this kind of armor up, make sure you put some pieces of armor on it before taking it into combat.
If you want an Empty Power Armor Frame, you can get one at some vendors as well as possibly out in the world as a random spawn. You should talk to one of these vendors to get an Empty Power Armor Frame:
- Rowdy at Atom Cats Garage
- Arturo Rodriguez at Diamond City’s Commonwealth Weaponry
- KL-E-0 at Goodneighbor’s Kill or Be Killed
- Proctor Teagan on the Prydwen (you can order one from him)
Raider Power Armor
While you explore the wastelands, you are bound to come across high-ranking bandits wearing this kind of power armor. Raider Power Armor has the worst stats out of all kinds of power armor but is usually the first kind available. A full set of Raider Power Armor has the following base stats:

T-45 Power Armor
If you have done some of the early Minuteman quests, you will likely have found a suit of T-45 Power Armor. It is a very old model, as it was one of the first kinds mass-produced for the military. - Physical Damage Resistance – 500

X-02 Power Armor
The X-02 Power Armor is a unique variant and only a single full suit exists naturally in-game. It was designed by the Enclave and was modeled after the X-01 Power Armor variant–though meant to surpass it. A full set of X-02 Power Armor has the following base stats:
- Physical Damage Resistance – 1220
- Energy Damage Resistance – 840
- Radiation Damage Resistance – 1050

The only way you can obtain the X-02 Power Armor is to perform the quest “Speak of the Devil,” which can be started at Wattz Consumer Electronics. You will eventually have to pass through Mass Pike Tunnel during this quest, during which you can open a safe in this location to find the armor. It should be mentioned that the X-02 Power Armor is only available with the Creation Club DLC.
Hellfire Power Armor
If you travel to Listening Post Bravo while having the Creation Club DLC installed, you will encounter a hostile person wearing unique power armor terrorizing the town. They are wearing the Hellfire Power Armor and will try to take out anyone who comes close. A full set of Hellfire Power Armor has the following base stats:

If you want this unique metal suit, you’re going to have to defeat the enemy wearing it and take it from them. The one wearing it is a member of The Forged, a group of bandits.
CC-00 Power Armor
This suit of power armor was created before the great nuclear war and was specifically designed to be in a live-action version of the popular pre-war television show known as “Captain Cosmos”. A full set of CC-00 Power Armor has the following base stats:

Horse Power Armor
As this model is more of a joke set, you may dismiss it if you stumble across it during your adventures. However, the Horse Power Armor is a unique and powerful variant of power armor that was created by a raider named Scabby in the Creation Club DLC. A full set of CC-00 Power Armor has the following base stats:
- Physical Damage Resistance – 1220
- Energy Damage Resistance – 790
- Radiation Damage Resistance – 1050
- Item HP (Durability) – 1260
The only place you can find the Horse Power Armor is in the Wilson Atomatoys Corporate HQ basement.
With so many types of power armor to choose from, you will have plenty of gear to wear when you explore The Commonwealth. If you really want to, you can collect them all and put them in a nice trophy room to remember your grand adventures and hard-won battles.
