A Jewel of Yggdrasil is a key item in God of War Ragnarök used to repair amulet slots. Two are pre-unlocked, and there are seven jewels out there that will give you a total of nine amulet slots.

    What To Do With the Jewels of Yggdrasil

    Take these Jewels to the dwarves and open the Armor section. You’ll find the “Amulet” bar at the very bottom. This is where you can unlock more Amulet slots with the Jewels of Yggdrasil you acquire.

    Once all the slots have been unlocked, you’ll be able to equip nine enchantments and you’ll earn the How it’s Going trophy.

    Jewel of Yggdrasil #1: World of Fate Main Quest

    Earning the Jewel of Yggdrasil during the World of Fates quest.

    You’ll receive a Jewel of Yggdrasil during The Word of Fate main quest, after defeating the Frost Phantom boss.

    Jewel of Yggdrasil #2: Forging Destiny Main Quest

    The Ogre fought during the Forging Destiny main quest.

    You’ll receive another Jewel of Yggdrasil while playing through the game’s main story. This one is dropped by the Ogre you fight during the Forging Destiny main quest.

    If you missed picking this up, you can get it from the blue chest by the dwarves’ shop.

    Jewel of Yggdrasil #3: The Forbidden Sands, Alfheim

    You’ll find one Jewel of Yggdrasil in a legendary (golden) chest in the Elven Sanctum. When approaching the sanctum, zip to the upper ledge and enter the sanctum there. You’ll find the chest on the upper level of the library.

    Head to The Oarsmen in Midgard. Upon entering the underground area where a Nornir Chest is, proceed onwards to the surface above and continue pressing forward until you a huge chain on the ground you can interact with. Do so and a new path will open up. Proceed to this newly-opened path and you’ll spot a legendary chest. Open the chest to obtain a Jewel of Yggdrasil.

    Jewel of Yggdrasil #5: The Lost Treasure Favor

    Where to initiate The Lost Treasure favor.

    Begin The Lost Treasure favor by interacting with a spirit on Dragon Beach in Svartalfheim. You’ll find him on the wooden platform on the northwestern part of the beach. The man will ask you to find his son, then obtain his in the treasure in Alberich Hollow as a reward. The treasure is a Jewel of Yggdrasil.

    You’ll need the Draupnir Spear to get to the spirit and obtain the reward.

    Jewel of Yggdrasil #6: Noatunn’s Garden, Vanaheim

    Another Jewel of Yggdrasil hides in the legendary chest inside the locked room in Noatunn’s Garden. You’ll need the Runic Arrows to open this room.

    Look inside the room from the open window right of the room’s entrance. Look ahead and you’ll see brambles at the far end of the room. Place two Runic Arrows next to each to the left of the bramble. Then, fire one or two more Runic Arrows on the hex to the left to make it bigger.

    Run to the left side of the room and stand next to the window where the hexes are closest. Aim at this wall and, as long as the hex inside is big enough, you’ll see that the circle extends outside the room. Fire one more Runic Arrow here and set it on fire with the Blades of Chaos. The fire should cascade to the hexes inside, burning the bramble.

    Return to the window and look to the far end of the room again to see a chain. Destroy it by throwing the axe at it and the room will open, giving you access to the legendary chest inside.

    Jewel of Yggdrasil #7: The Path of Destruction Favor

    You’ll obtain another Jewel of Yggdrasil from a legendary chest you’ll find while doing The Path of Destruction Favor in The Jungle in Vahaneim. When you drop to the cage in the dragon’s den, open it by hitting the switch on the opening above. Once free, you’ll find the chest in this room.
