Relics are a new type of equipment in God of War Ragnarök that gives Kratos a buff or a new ability. Collecting these relics will increase your probability of survival during combat, and even net you a trophy.

Table Of Contents

    Hilt of Hofud

Kratos facing Heimdall in God of War Ragnarok.

You automatically get this relic after defeating Heimdall during the Creatures of Prophecy main quest in Vanaheim.

    Motsognir’s Call

The location of the Motsongnir's Call relic.

The Motsognir’s Call relic is in the Aesir Prison Wreckage in Niflheim. The area only opens up after finishing the main story.

The relic is located on the top floor of the prison, on the ground next to a legendary chest. You’ll need to raise the beam with the wind spout on the side of the open section that leads to the chest. You’ll find the chain that controls this bar two floors down.

    Hilt of Forsbrander

Kratos facing the Raven Tree in Niflheim.

You’ll need to destroy all 48 Odin’s Ravens flying around the Nine Realms. Once done, the Raven Keeper will appear in the arena across from the dwarves’ shop in the Raven Tree in Niflheim. Defeat the Raven Keeper to receive the Hilt of Forsbrander.

    Hilt of Hrotti

The location of the three Oath Guards in the Plains.

In the Crater region in Vanaheim, you’ll come across three Travellers known as Oath Guards. Defeat two of these Oath Guards and you’ll receive the Hilt of Hrotti.

You’ll find one of them at the end of a pathway west of the Crater Entrance Mystic Gateway. Another is west of The Overgrown Tower Mystic Gateway, east of the open area where you’ll fight a Soul Eater. The third is on the edge of a cliff overlooking The Sinkholes east of the Crater Entrance.

    Huldra Project #9

Buying the Huldra Project #9 from the dwarves.

You can only purchase this relic after completing the main story. You can buy it from the dwarves for 10,000 Hacksilver.

    Hilt of Tyrfing

The location of the Lost Page and Blatonn.

You can craft and buy this relic from the dwarves. Before that, however, you’ll first need to find a Lost Page, which acts as its blueprint. You’ll find the Lost Page for the Hilt of Tyrfing near the Wishing Well in The Crater in Vanaheim. Head to the northern tunnel from the Wishing Well. This path leads back to the Crater Entrance Mystic Gateway. The Lost Page you’ll need for the Hilt of Tyrfing is in this tunnel.

Then, you’ll need the Nar’s Cup to craft the relic. You obtain the Nar’s Cup by defeating Blatonn, the alpha werewolf found in The Abandoned Village in Vanaheim.

    Hilt of Dainsleif

The location of the Lost Page in The Forbidden Sands and the Ormstunga.

First, obtain the Lost Page in The Forbidden Sands in Alfheim. It’s in the library section of the Elven Sanctum, on a table on the northeastern end of the room.

You’ll then need the Svefnthorn before you can craft this relic. The pre-requisite you’ll need is dropped by Ormstunga, a miniboss found in Alberich Hollow in Svartalfheim.

    Talisman of Meign

Picking up the Talisman of Meign relic.

You’ll get this relic during the Quest for Tyr main quest in Svartalfheim. As you explore the Applecore mines, you’ll have to move a corpse from a narrow gap to open up a path you can squeeze through. This corpse holds this relic. This action is necessary for progression, which means you can’t miss this relic.

    Hilt of Skofnung

Kratos fighting King Hrolf in God of War Ragnarok.

You obtain the Hilt of Skofnung after defeating King Hrolf Kraki at the King’s Grave in Midgard. King Hrolf is the last of the Berserkers in God of War Ragnarök, which means you’ll need to defeat the rest before you can fight him.

    Glaive of Dodher

Fighting Fiske in God of War Ragnarok.

This relic is dropped by Fiske, an Einherjar miniboss during The Reckoning main quest in Vanaheim.

    Hilt of Angrvadall

The location of the Lost Page in The Barrens and the Gravel Belly boss.

You’ll first need to obtain the Lost Page found in a gazebo in the northern section of The Barrens in Alfheim.

Once the Lost Page is acquired, you’ll then need the Skirnir’s Gambanteinn to craft this relic. This is dropped by the Gravel Belly boss during The Desert Door favor in Alfheim. You’ll need to find two keys to access this favor. The keys are found in the rings of shards scattered around The Forbidden Sands, which activate after you complete the Freyr’s Gift favor.

    Hilt of Ridill

The location of the Lost Page in the Lost Treasury and Oluf Nautson.

You’ll first need to get the Lost Page in The Lost Treasury in Midgard. This area is tied to the Sigrun’s Curse favor, which means you’ll need to have obtained the two halves of the key that opens the room inside the Lost Treasury. Up ahead, climb the chain, turn around, and look down. Smash the ground to find the Lost Page inside.

Now that you have the Lost Page, obtain the Crackle of Bilskirnir to craft this relic. This item is dropped by Oluf Nautson, the leader of the Raiders whom you’ll fight at the end of the Animal Instincts Favor in Midgard. This favor begins when you find clear one Raider Outpost in the Lake of Nine.

    Mystical Heirloom

The location of the Mystical Heirloom in God of War Ragnarok.

You’ll find the Mystical Heirloom in the Lake of Nine in Midgard, southwest of Tyr’s Temple. It’s on an elevated slope behind a wall of ice that has a gold crack on it, which you can destroy using the Draupnir Spear.

    Hilt of Gram

Getting the Hilt of Gram relic in God of War Ragnarok.

You can find the Hilt of Gram inside a legendary chest in the Temple of Light in Alfheim.

After the area where Tyr creates cracks on two hanging ornaments for the Blades of Chaos to latch on, make a right and go up the spiral staircase. Continue onwards and run past the light of Alfheim and onto the staircase behind it. Proceed through the door ahead.

Go up the staircase, then head down to the lower platform on the left. Turn right and enter the door here. There’s a chain you can yank ahead. Interact with the chain and pull it down to raise the ornament ahead. The twilight stone should also now face the shaft to the right. Throw your axe at the twilight stone to embed it on the wall of the shaft.

Lower the chain and you’ll see that a lock is holding up the elevator on the shift. Call the axe back and it will hit the lock. Let go of the chain and head down to find a legendary chest. Open it to obtain the Hilt of Gram.
