At the beginning of the game, Atreus theorizes the possibility of Odin keeping Tyr in Niflheim. It turns out he was right the whole time. Unfortunately, the prison that keeps Tyr can only be accessed after Asgard’s fall during the game’s climax.

That said, head to Niflheim after you beat the main story. You’ll find a new path you can take to the left of the one that leads to the Raven Tree. Taking this path will initiate The Broken Prison favor.

Take this path and you’ll find the Aesir Prison Wreckage.

This place is full of cells that are guarded by Einherjar, and a wide variety of prisoned enemies, from a Traveller to a Dark Elf. However, its most notable prisoner is the Norse God of War himself.

Make your way to the very bottom of the prison. You’ll need to use your Draupnir Spear on the wind spouts here, as well as the chains to move them around, to get from one floor to another. As soon as you do, you’ll find Tyr, the real one, behind a cell. Open his cell to converse with him.
