Starting Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1
Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1 will automatically commence after you complete the In the Shadows of the Estate main quest. This is the quest where Sebastian takes you to the Undercroft.
For this assignment, you’ll be tasked to acquire and use a Venomous Tentacula and a Mandrake. At this point, it’s unlikely that you have these plants already. This is the first step you’ll have to complete to eventually acquire Wingardium Leviosa.
How to Acquire a Venomous Tenatacula and a Mandrake
You can purchase these plants, or the seeds for them, from a shop called Dogweed and Deathcap. This shop sits on the northernmost section of Hogsmeade. Travel to the North Hogsmeade Floo Flame to get here much faster.
Once here, you can either purchase the seeds for the plants so you can plant them yourself or you can simply purchase the plants. Buying the seeds unlocks the ability to plant these moving forward. If you have enough Galleon, this is a better option. Here’s how much these items cost.
- Venomous Tentacula Seed – 1,050
- Mandrake Seed – 800
- Venomous Tentacula Plant – 600
- Mandrake Plant – 500
Once acquired, simply explore the world or begin a quest and find enemies to fight. Hold the Tool Wheel to equip the plant and use them on enemies.
Make sure the Mandrake affects multiple enemies for the assignment to complete.
