Aerial Captures are activities you can do in Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores. After you get to the starting points, you’ll then have to fly through a series of markers to complete the task. Complete all six to receive a trophy, as well as a few audio logs.
Table Of Contents
Aerial Capture: North
You’ll find the transmitter of this Aerial Capture at the top of a slope, next to a Devotee Outpost. It’s easier to get here by flying unless you want to deal with the Devotees first. Interact with the transmitter, then look over to the south to see the start of the flight path.
Fly to the first marker and simply follow the arrow until you get to the final marker. When you do, press R3 to activate the Aerial Capture to complete the task.
Aerial Capture: Northeast
The transmitter for this Aerial Capture is in a dilapidated structure in the landmass west of the eastern lava. Interact with the transmitter and head to the starting point marked on the map.
Aerial Capture: East
This transmitter is on top of a building north of Cauldron: Theta. After interacting with the transmitter, fly south to get to the starting coordinates.
Aerial Capture: West
The transmitter for this Aerial Capture is on a small island west of Fleet’s End. However, to get here, you’ll first need to find and defeat an Apex Stormbird. When you approach the island on a flying mount, you’ll notice a storm cloud hovering over it. Enter the storm cloud and you’ll spot the Stormbird. Aloy will then track the machine.
Follow the flight path until a battle with the Stormbird ensues. You’ll then be sent to the island below where you’ll need to defeat the Stormbird. Once done, enter the building marked on the image of the map above to find the transmitter. Once the mission triggers, head outside and fly to the starting coordinates.
Aerial Capture: Northwest
This one is in a building on the island south of Heaven’s Rest. You’ll need to fly to the side of the building and grab the metal clamp with your flying mount to create a hole in the building. Once the grate is removed, head inside and you’ll find the transmitter.
Aerial Capture: South
After you complete all previous Aerial Captures, Aerial Capture: South will automatically be added to the map. Fly to the marked location and you’ll immediately find the starting coordinates.
