The Gesture mechanic in Elden Ring is similar to Emotes in other games. Although seemingly non-consequential, it is a massive aspect of the Souls series, especially where the community is concerned. Here’s everything you need to know about Gestures.

Everything You Need to Know About Gestures
A lot of Souls veterans adore the Gestures mechanic. Although it is not really necessary for combat, players use it to greet each other during PvP or Co-op. There are even certain places in the game that are unlocked by gesturing.
To Gesture in Elden Ring, you can simply select a Gesture from the Gestures section. You can find this on the right side of your screen when opening up the menu.
Gestures are also tied to controller motion controls. However, it is recommended that you toggle this option off from the Systems menu. This is to avoid you from accidentally triggering a Gesture while fighting enemies.
You can select six Gestures to place on the Gestures menu. You can change this at any time.
