Yes, there are Korok Seeds in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Like in Breath of the Wild, they’re scattered all over the world and require you to explore and solve puzzles to obtain them. Keep your eyes peeled for suspicious landmarks!
What Are Korok Seeds?
Korok Seeds are small nut-like items that apparently have a “distinct smell”. We’d prefer not to imagine what they smell like. As for their uses: Korok Seeds are a type of currency that you can exchange with a specific merchant to increase your inventory space. The merchant who accepts Korok Seeds is Hestu, however, he’s pretty hard to find!
How to Get Korok Seeds
There are many ways to get Korok Seeds. The most obvious is to help Koroks wherever you find them. These visible Koroks will usually tell you what they need help with—or at least give you a hint. Once you help them, they’ll give you a Korok Seed or two.
Other times, all you need to do is find a Korok. Investigate stage landmarks and objects that stick out from their surroundings. Doing so often leads to a Korok popping out of hiding and rewarding you for finding them with a Korok Seed.
Some specific things to look out for are:
- Balloons (pop them)
- Dandelions (touch them and then touch the seed that emerges)
- Flowers (touch them and they will teleport—so keep touching them until a Korok appears)
- Pinwheels (touch them)
With that said, there are a lot more Korok puzzles than those listed above—these are only the most obvious ones we’ve found so far. There are also lots of rock puzzles that give you Korok Seeds, so keep your eyes peeled for strange rock formations while exploring.
There are a lot of Korok Seeds in the game, although, as of writing this, there is not yet a confirmed number. However, we estimate that there are hundreds of Korok Seeds in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
