Blades of Chaos Light Runic Attacks
Here’s where you can find the Blades of Chaos’ faster array of Runic Attacks.
Flames of Anguish
You automatically obtain this Runic Attack after defeating the Dreki boss during The Quest for Tyr main quest.
Hades Retribution
The Hades Retribution Runic Attack is in the Temple of Light in Alfheim. Past the area where you zip through a series of massive elven ornaments after Tyr puts a crack on them, make your way up the stairs to the right.
Stick close to the left side of the stairs and you’ll eventually find an opening for you to drop down on. Proceed to jump down, make a right, then make a left, and you’ll immediately see another opening to jump down onto the left. Jump down once more and make a left to find a Legendary Chest. Open it for the Runic Attack.
Helios Flare
This Runic Attack is in the western section of The Abandoned Village in Vanaheim. This is the area with elevated platforms on the corner and has a massive turning crane in the middle you can turn by hitting its turnstile with the Leviathan Axe.
When you enter this area, you’ll be on the southeastern corner. Look over to the crane and hit the turnstile so that you can use it to zip over to the elevated ground across. Keep following the path from here until you’re facing another elevated ground ahead that has a Legendary Chest on it.
Spin the crane once more so you can zip over to where the chest is. Open it to obtain the Helios Flare Runic Attack.
Rampage of the Furies
The Rampage of the Furies is in the Goddess Falls in Vanaheim. Head to the northwesternmost section of the Goddess Falls, on the path right of the one that leads to the Vanir Shrine. When you get to the highest floor in this area, look to the right from the entrance to find a bramble. Burn it with the Blades of Chaos and you’ll find a narrow hole in the wall.
Beyond the hole, you’ll spot a lock that holds a chain up. Destroy it with the axe or a spear and a door will open below. Make your way back down to find the newly opened door and a Legendary Chest inside. Open it for the Runic Attack.
Cyclone of Chaos
The Cyclone of Chaos Runic Attack is in the Raider Stronghold in Midgard. After defeating all the raiders in this camp, proceed to the far end of the stronghold and you’ll find a Legendary Chest. Open it to obtain the Runic Attack.
Blades of Chaos Heavy Runic Attacks
The Heavy Runic Attacks for the Blades of Chaos are slower moving but they hit harder. Here’s where to find all five of them.
Tartarus Rage
The Tartarus Rage is in a Legendary Chest in the Raider Hideout in Midgard. Clear the area of raiders and head to the northern corner of the hideout to find a Legendary Chest. Open it to obtain the Tartarus Rage Heavy Runic Attack.
Altas Eruption
The Atlas Eruption is in The Forge in Svartalfheim. You’ll encounter the Legendary Chest when you open the gate after capping and freezing two geysers with Brok’s help during the Forging Destiny main quest.
Tame the Beast
The Tame the Beast Runic Attack is in the Gleaming Bale in Helheim. It’s on the narrow pathway where multiple Hel-Walkers approach you and fire ice projectiles at you from a distance, prior to seeing Garm before fighting him during the Reunion main quest.
Nemean Crush
The Nemean Crush is in The Burrows in Alfheim. After freeing the Hafgufa, proceed onwards and you’ll find a Legendary Chest in the next area. The Runic Attack is inside this chest.
Meteoric Slam
The Meteoric Slam Heavy Runic Attack is in one of the chests by the Raven Tree in Niflheim. This chest will open after you destroy 38 of Odin’s Ravens.
