What Mandrakes Do

As you explore the world, you can find other merchants that sell Mandrakes. For example, Arn the goblin and Priya Treadwell both sell Mandrakes at the same price as Dogweed and Deathcap. This way, you’ll never be lacking in Mandrakes…if you have the money.
How to Grow and Farm Mandrakes
In addition to buying these violent vegetables, you can also grow them. This is a better way to get them if you’re low on money. Firstly, you need to buy seeds for them at Dogweed and Deathcap.
Mandrake seeds cost $800. While expensive, you can grow them indefinitely from a single seed, so this method is way cheaper than repeatedly buying Mandrakes from merchants. Be careful with this seed, however, are it’s pretty rare! It’ll be hard to find another one.
Next, you need a planting pot. You can use the one in the Hogwarts Greenhouse area or create a potting table in the Room of Requirement. Mandrake seeds can be planted in any size pot.
Once the seed is put into a pot, it will take 10 minutes to fully grow. When it’s ready to be harvested, it will yield one Mandrake and then resets so that another will grow in a further 10 minutes. When you use Fertiliser (which can be bought at The Magic Neep and Dogweed and Deathcap for $300 each), the yield will be two instead of one.
