Spending time with the right people in Persona 5 Royal can pay off in big ways. Sadayo Kawakami is your homeroom teacher while also living a double life–something very familiar to the protagonist. Getting to know her can help free up some time in your extremely busy schedule.

How to Begin the Temperance Confidant
As your homeroom teacher at Shujin Academy, Sadayo Kawakami takes her job seriously despite her pending burnout. However, she lives a double life, working for a maid housekeeping service during her free time. Once you discover this, you can invite her to Leblanc to do some of your chores, freeing up some extra time in your day.
To start the Temperance Confidant, you’ll need to complete Madarame’s Palace. Starting on 5/24, you’ll be able to chat with Yuuki Mishima about the strange maid poster by finding him on Shibuya’s Central Street at nighttime. The day after you do this, chat with Kawakami in the 2F hallway at Shujin Academy to receive her work phone number.
You’ll be able to use the yellow payphone at Leblanc to call Kawakami once you have Staunch Guts (Level 3). Each time you ask her to visit Leblanc, it will cost ¥5,000.
NoteOnce you reach Confidant Rank 9 with Kawakami, her visits to Leblanc are entirely free.
Temperance Confidant Skills
After spending enough time with Kawakami, you’ll start to unlock plenty of skills to ease your load as a Phantom Thief. Check out the table below for all Confidant skills.

Once the Temperance Confidant is maxed out, you’ll be able to fuse Ardha. This Persona is one of four to learn God’s Hand and one of two to learn Cosmic Flare. Additionally, Ardha can be itemized into Sahasrara, the strongest gun available for Sumire Yoshizawa.
TipItemizing Ardha during a fusion alarm will reward you with Sahasrara II, which boasts higher damage and 1 extra point to all stats.
If you’re at max rank with Kawakami on March 19, she’ll reward you with Unlimited Service, which unlocks the Special Massage skill as soon as you begin Kawakami’s Confidant in New Game Plus.

Choosing specific dialogue options during your chats with Kawakami will increase your friendship rank more quickly. If you make the wrong choice, it’s possible to give a gift to make up for any lost points.
