The Pest Control Merchant Request in the Waste Disposal is the last request where you’ll have to kill rats for Spinel in Resident Evil 4. There are more rats to kill for this request than the others. They’re also considerably more spread out and harder to find this time around.

Rat #1
From the merchant’s area, return to the area on the left. Keep heading forward, past the short gap you’ll have to crawl under. Continue walking forward until you see the rat on the ground in this garbage-ridden corridor.
Rat #2
From the previous area, turn around and go to the bridge that’s lifted by a wheel. Order Ashley to raise the bridge again. You’ll find another rat on the other side of this bridge.
If you’re in the part of the chapter where Ashley isn’t with you again, you can still kill the rat from your side of the bridge with a rifle.
Rat #3
After killing the second rat, head over to where the power calibration console is. This is also the same area where the Regenerador attacks you. If you haven’t dealt with the monster yet, better take out your biosensor-scoped rifle and kill the monster now. It will be tough killing the rats with the Regenarador in the room.
You’ll find the rat in the area to the right of where the pile of trash the Regenerador lies on.
Alternatively, you can shoot the rats from the area before the bridge by sniping them with a rifle. Use the biosensor scope to spot the rats much more easily.
Rat #4
The fourth rat is in the same area as the third rat. This one runs around closer to where the power calibration console is.
