You can use secret codes or spells in Vampire Survivors after obtaining the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane. This unlocks the Secrets menu which provides hints on how to acquire characters and items. Alternatively, you can also use this menu to input codes and automatically unlock characters and other items instead.
Secret codes, or spells, can unlock characters, stages, weapons, relics, and Arcana cards. Basically, secret codes can unlock almost everything in the game. When you type these codes in the Secrets menu, be sure to type them fast. Otherwise, the spell will not go through.
Just take note, though, that the unlocks that would normally reward you with an achievement won’t do so if you use a secret code. If your goal is to get all the achievements in Vampire Survivors, you’ll need to unlock the items the old-fashioned way.

Aside from unlocking items, there are a handful of things you can do with secret codes as well. Input these codes and experience the following:

- popthecorn – There’s a lot of corn when you enter the Green Acres stage
- iwanttoseeitagain – Re-enter the Holy Forbidden after being there once already
- spoopyseason – Unlocks a Halloween-themed appearance for Mortaccio, Yatta Cavallo, Bianca Ramba, and O’Sole Meeo
Secret Codes Outside the Secrets Menu
While secret codes are mainly done using the text box in the Secrets menu, you can also write secret codes outside the menu to unlock certain things. It’s a more complicated process, but should you want to try these out, here are the codes, where to enter them, and what they unlock.
- Konami Code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, escape, enter) – Type in the Main Menu to unlock Mortaccio.
- down + enter – Type down and center at the same time when a ghost appears at the bottom right corner of the screen after killing The Stalker, The Drowner, or The Trickster. Exdash should already be unlocked before this code can work. This code unlocks Toastie.
- type “spam” in the main menu, character selection menu, stage select menu, and during the run. Then, type “humbug”. – This has to be done within 30 seconds. It unlocks the character Smith IV.
- aintnobodygottimeforthat – Type in the main menu to unlock the Arcana Cards Game Killer, Mad Groove, Out of Bounds, Disco of Gold, and Silent Old Sanctuary.
- pet – Type in the main menu. Allows you to pet and heal O’Sole once per run.
