What is a Sacred Tear?
It’s used to increase the potency of the Flask of Crimson Tears (HP) and Flask of Cerulean Tears (FP). It does not do anything for the Flask of Wondrous Physick.
A Sacred Tear helps to replenish more HP or FP per Flask Charge, which is useful because you’ll only have a maximum number of 14 Flask charges per playthrough.
How to Use Sacred Tears
To use it, you need to do the following steps:
- Rest at any Site of Grace.
- Select ‘Flasks’ from the menu.
- Select ‘Increase amount replenished by flasks.’
How Many Sacred Tears Are Needed?
Currently, there are 12 Sacred Tears to find in Elden Ring and you will need all of them to reach the maximum level of Flask Potency: +12.
Unlike the Flask Charges with its increasing Golden Seed requirement for upgrading, you only need one Sacred Tear per Flask Potency upgrade.
Churches in Limgrave
There are four churches to explore in the Limgrave region, which means you can have +4 Flask Potency here alone.
