In God of War Ragnarök, Runic Attacks help make your weapons stronger, including the Leviathan Axe. These abilities allow you to deal damage to multiple enemies at once or deal a whole lot of damage to a single, powerful enemy.

Here’s where you can find all five Light Runic Attacks for the Leviathan Axe.

    Winter’s Bite

Fighting The Huntress in God of War Ragnarok.

    Njord’s Tempest

The location of the Njord's Tempest Runic Attack.

You’ll find Njord’s Tempest in Althjof’s Rig in Svartalfheim. Once you’re on the side of the rig itself, face away from the rig and face left. You’ll see two barrels on the ground that you can break with Sonic Arrows. Break the barrels, then shimmy along the walls to get to the other side.

Continue forward and zip to the platform ahead. Kick the chain down and climb down, then zip to the platform ahead. Approach the wheel and turn it backwards to raise the crane ahead at its highest. Head back to where the chain is and face the crane. Zip to the other side, and while in midair, zip over to the breakable wall ahead.

Once here, make a right and follow the path forward to find a Legendary Chest. Inside it is the Njord’s Tempest.

    Skadi’s Edge

The location of Skadi's Edge Runic Attack.

The Skadi’s Edge Runic Attack is in The Strond in Alfheim. After the area where you throw the axe at a Twilight Stone to open a gate, make a left and drop down. Make a left again and destroy the pots clearing the path. Continue onwards and you’ll find a Legendary Chest. Open it to obtain Skadi’s Edge.

    Wrath of the Frost Ancient

The location of the Wrath of the Frost Ancient.

This Runic Attack is in the Southern Wilds in Vanaheim. It’s in the market you pass through during The Reckoning main quest. While on the ground, head to the northern section of the market to find a short passageway you can crawl under. Enter this passageway and you’ll see a Legendary Chest on the other side. Open it to retrieve the Wrath of the Frost Ancient.

    Hel’s Touch

The location of the Hel's Touch Runic Attack.

You’ll find the Hel’s Touch Runic Attack in The Burrows in Alfheim. It’s in the wide area before the one where you find three bulbs of hive matter that block the way to the Hafgufa.

After climbing the wall that leads up to the area with the hive matter, turn around and look to the left to spot a twilight stone under a thick hive matter wall. Throw your axe at the twilight stone from here and it will bounce to the hive matter, destroying it. This will reveal a wall crack you can grapple on.

Make your way down and zip onto the newly available grapple point. Make your way to the highest point of this cavern from here to find the Legendary Chest that contains Hel’s Touch.

    Leviathan Axe Heavy Runic Attacks

Here’s where you can find every Heavy Runic Attack for the Leviathan Axe.

    Mists of Niflheim

The location of the Mists of Niflheim Runic Attack.

The Mists of Niflheim is in the Cliffside Ruins in Vanaheim. You’ll need to have lowered the drawbridge on the eastern section of the ruins to reach the chest. You can do this by heading the Veiled Passage and passing through this area to return to the other side of the Cliffside Ruins.

Once the bridge is lowered, stand on the side of the main section of the Cliffside Ruins and look over to the bottom left from the bridge. You’ll spot a legendary chest ahead and a pile of golden rocks blocking the climbable wall to the right. There’s an explosive pot here, but you won’t be able to reach it with your weapon or arrow.

To destroy this obstacle, fire a Runic Arrow next to the rocks. Head over to the area on the other side of the bridge so that you’re above the golden rocks. Be sure to fire your Runic Arrows so that the hex covers the explosive pot and you can reach the hex with the Blades of Chaos.

Once that’s done, burn the hex with your blades and it will cascade into where the explosive pot is, making it explode and destroying the obstacle. You can now climb down and reach the chest to obtain the Runic Attack.

    Ivaldi’s Anvil

    The location of Ivaldi's Anvil.

You’ll find Ivaldi’s Anvil in The Derelict Outpost in Midgard. It’s in the Legendary Chest next to the Lore Marker you’ll find before the altar that holds one-half of the Fjoturlund Vault Key.

    Fog of Fimbulwinter

Kratos picking up the Fog of Fimbulwinter Runic Attack.

This Heavy Runic Attack is in the Myrkr Tunnels in Svartlafheim. It’s in the same tunnels you pass through at the beginning of the Forging Destiny main quest. There’s an area in the first part of the tunnel that has a grate above it, allowing light from the surface to peer through. This area also has multiple diverging paths.

From here, take the path to the west. Then, make a left, then another left up ahead. Finally, make a right and you’ll find the Legendary Chest that contains the Fog of Fimbulwinter Runic Attack.

    Leviathan’s Roar

The location of the Leviathan's Roar in God of War Ragnarok.

You’ll find the Leviathan’s Roar on the path to the Eastern Barri Woods from Freyr’s Camp in Vanaheim, where you fight a Stalker Huntress during the Creatures of Prophecy main quest. There’s a wall here that has a gold crack on it. Throw a Draupnir Spear on it to make the wall climbable.

Climb up this wall. Once you’re on top of this structure, head to the left and jump onto the wooden structure ahead. Head to the right from here and you’ll eventually reach the platform where a Legendary Chest is. Open it to obtain the Leviathan’s Roar.

    Breath of Thamur

Kratos facing the Raven Tree in Niflheim.

The Breath of Thamur is inside one of the chests by the Raven Tree in Niflheim. This chest will open after you destroy 18 of Odin’s Ravens.
