Vampire Survivors offers a wide array of characters for you to play as. Each one has its own starting weapons and starting stats, making runs feel different with each character. Unlock all characters and you’ll better appreciate the game.

Current Playable Characters in Vampire Survivors
As of writing, there are over 37 playable characters in Vampire Survivors. You start out with one, and three others are unlocked by default. However, you must still purchase the three unlocked characters to make them playable.
The same goes for the rest of the characters in Vampire Survivors. The price of the characters will increase by 10% each time you purchase a new one.
To unlock the rest of the 33 characters, though, you’ll need to meet specific requirements.

 Toastie | Defeat a non-red reaper, then quickly press Down + Enter when Toastie appears on the bottom right corner of the screen. Toastie can only be unlocked after acquiring Exdash. | 777 |
 Smith IV | Type "spam" in the main menu, then go to character selection and type "spam" again. Go to stage selection and type the same word, then start a run and type "humbug". All of this must be done under 30 seconds. Smith IV can only be unlocked after Exdash and Toastie are unlocked. | 7,777 |
 Boon Marrabbio | First off, you must have already collected a total of 100 chickens across all runs. You'll also need to have obtained the Yellow Sign already. Start a run in the Mad Forest and pick up Skull O'Maniac and Pummarola. You'll need to remove them from the run by either getting them to their max level or discarding them after picking them up as stage items. After which, pies will start popping up from the ground, creating a trail that leads to the northwest area of the stage. Follow it and you'll be faced with a shadow enemy. Defeat this enemy to unlock Boon Marrabbio. | 666 |
 Minnah Mannarah | You'll need to have obtained the Yellow Sign first. Head to the Dairy Plant and pick up the cheese, located west of the Armor stage item. After picking up the cheese, seven werewolves will spawn. Defeat them to unlock Minnah Mannarah. | 666 |
 Leda | Start a run in the Gallo Tower and start heading south. Keep going until the place goes dark, leaving a circular light around the player. Leda will spawn here. Defeat her to unlock her. | 666 |
 Cosmo Pavone | You'll need to have obtained the Yellow Sign already, and opened the coffin in Cappella Magna. Start a run in the same stage with a character that has zero eggs, and collect Peachone and Ebony Wings. Once done, head to the northern section of the stage, north of where the Tiragisu stage item is. You'll find the pickup here that lets you breathe fire in the direction you're facing, next to a gate that blocks off a balcony. Upon picking it up, the gate will disappear. Go over to the balcony and you can pick up Cosmo, unlocking the character. | 666 |
 Peppino | Use the Celestial Dusting weapon in Il Molise to heal the plants instead of damaging them. Restore a total of 100,000 HP to unlock Peppino. | 666 |
 Big Trouser | Obtain all 16 passive items in Moongolow and get them up to max level. | 5,000 |
 Gains Boros | Start a run in The Bone Zone and head to the ring of flowers located north of the Silver Ring. Stay in the ring for 10 seconds to unlock Gains Boros. | 666 |
 Gyorunton | Survive the entirety of Boss Rash using only one weapon. | 5,000 |
 Mask of the Red Death | Kill Death. | 666 |
 Queen Sigma | Unlock all entries in the Collection. | 0 |
Spell Unlocks
You also have the option to unlock every single character in Vampire Survivors by inputting a spell in the Secret menu. You can only do this after you acquire the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane. This relic is dropped by the Sketamari in The Bone Zone.
