Key Takeaway
The Scion’s Protection ability is what you need to use yellow sparkles in Blasphemous 2. The room where you find it is located directly above the teleportation room in the Severed Tower. However, you’ll need to go all the way to the right, up a floor, and then all the way back to the left to enter this room.
Once you have this ability, yellow sparkles near you turn into objects in the air that you can grab.
To use the yellow sparkles that you’ve seen throughout the world in Blasphemous 2, you’ll need the Scion’s Protection ability. It’s located near the top of the Severed Tower. You must get it before you can face the boss of this area as well as for collecting previously unreachable loot.

How to Reach the Scion’s Protection Ability in the Severed Tower
From the Prie Dieu that’s up and to the left of the boss room in the Severed Tower, head all the way to the right and go up two floors before going back all the way to the left—you’ll find the Scion’s Protection ability in the far left room.
Check out the map image below, where we’ve marked the route from the aforementioned Prie Dieu to the room where you get Scion’s Protection.
However, when you reach the room holding Scion’s Protection, it’ll be mostly dark.
Perform a double jump to reach the ledge to the upper left. Then, slide through the small gap and you’ll find a statue holding an ability urn on the other side.
How to Use Yellow Sparkles With Scion’s Protection
After you interact with the statue and urn in this room, you’ll get a tutorial message about how to use yellow sparkles in Blasphemous 2.
When you’re near yellow sparkles now, they’ll turn into objects you can grab. Use them to reach higher places.
However, what the tutorial message leaves out is that the upper part of your hitbox needs to make contact with the yellow ring being held by the Brothers of the Miracle. If the lower part of your hitbox makes contact, nothing happens; you’ll just fall through the yellow ring.
After obtaining this final ability in Blasphemous 2, make your way downwards to confront the boss of the Severed Tower: Sínodo, Hymn of the Thousand Voices. But be warned—this boss is arguably the toughest you’ve yet to face. They unleash a ton of fire and miasma damage, so make sure to upgrade your Rosary and equip Rosary Beads that grant resistance to these elements.
