An Imbue Sword Key in Elden Ring unlocks a waygate in the Four Belfries. Finding one is easy enough since it’s already in the Four Belfries, but you can pick up two more out there for you to find.

First Imbued Sword Key
The first Imbued Sword Key is in the chest at the top-most tower in the Four Belfries. This is the simplest one to find and it’s so conveniently placed that it’s easy to assume that this is the only Imbued Sword Key in the game.
Second Imbued Sword Key
You’ll find one more Imbued Sword Key on Raya Lucaria rooftops. Mark the location marked on the image below on your map to make finding this key easier for you.
To make your way here, start at the Debate Parlor. Take the northern exit to an open plaza. Look over to the west to find a landslide slope that leads to an upper terrace. Make your way there.
Once here, you’ll find a couple of nobles and two sorcerers on the upper terrace. Head to the western railing on this terrace and jump over to the flight of stairs below. Be careful of the mage under the archway behind you. While you’re here, unlock the door ahead for an easier path from here to the Debate Parlor Site of Grace. After this, turn around and proceed onward until you reach the end of this path, before a railing while facing south.
Jump over to the rooftops ahead and keep pressing on. You’ll eventually find a ladder ahead after dealing with two Marionettes. Climb the ladder and you’ll be on a narrow walkway with pillars on each side. There are Avionettes on top of some posts here. Be sure to watch out for them as they’ll drop down on you when you get close. There’s also a sorcerer at the end of this path. Deal with this enemy as well.
Once you’re at the end of the path, take the ledge to the right and go around the tower. Drop down to the rooftop below. Head north and drop down four more rooftops. You’ll be on a narrower platform at this point and there’ll be two Marionettes here — one across you and one to your right. Deal with them both and head to where the Marionette to your right was. Look down to find a ledge you can drop down to.
Look east and you’ll find a body with an item you can loot under an archway. Loot this body to obtain your second Imbued Sword Key.
Third Imbued Sword Key
The last Imbued Sword Key is in Sellia, Town of Sorcery in Caelid. This town has multiple sections that are sealed by magic barriers. You’ll need to light three braziers that are situated on top of three towers that are scattered around Sellia.
To make your way to the first brazier, head to the northern section of the town and take the stairs to get to the upper section. Once there, you’ll find an Erdtree branch. Look ahead behind the Erdtree branch and you’ll spot your first tower.
Make your way there by going over to the missing railing behind the Erdtree branch and jumping down to the branch below. From here, you can mount Torrent to make the jump from the branch to the platform at the base of the ladder. Take the ladder, climb up, and light the first brazier.
Climb down the ladder and look over to the south and you’ll spot the next tower you’ll need to get to.
Make your way there by jumping over Sellia’s rooftops and the wayward branches around the area. Be sure to use Torrent to make higher and longer jumps. Be mindful of the Marionettes and Avionettes in this area.
Once you reach the second tower and light the second brazier, look to the east and you’ll find the last tower you’ll need to get to.
Use the huge branch ahead to easily make your way there. Once all three braziers are lit up, the seals all over Sellia will disappear.
The third Imbued Sword Key is in the northeastern corner of Sellia.
There are spectral sorcerers and nobles here so be sure to deal with them if you find that more convenient. The key is in a chest that’s under an archway.
Using the Imbued Sword Keys
There are three waygates in the Four Belfries, all leading you to secluded areas in certain regions. These areas contain items and enemies. Other than these waygates, there are no other ways to access these areas. Now that you’ve collected all three Imbued Sword Keys in Elden Ring, you can now activate all three waygates and access all three hidden areas.
These are the three areas you’ll access by using the waygates in the Four Belfries.
- Nokron, Eternal City – You can find the Mottled Necklace talisman here, as well as a Crucible Knight. You can fight and defeat this enemy, but he won’t drop any items aside from Runes. This waygate is labeled as “Night Sky Unceasing.”
- The Church of Anticipation – This is the area you spawn in at the very beginning of the game. If you haven’t defeated the Grafted Scion at the beginning of the game yet, this is your chance for payback. You can also return to the church to obtain the Stormhawk Deenh Spirit Ash and the Stormhawk King Key Item. You can give the Stormhawk King to Nepheli Loux when she returns to the Roundtable Hold after the incident in the Village of the Albinaurics. This waygate is labeled as “Precipice of Anticipation.”
- Crumbling Farum Azula – You’ll find the Pearldrake Talisman in this sub-area. This waygate is labeled as “Crumbling Lands.”
