To help the desperate father in the Severed Tower, you’ll need to find all the Wax Seeds in Blasphemous 2. Bringing them to this NPC leads to you completing yet another macabre quest. The reward for this one is an Altarpiece Favour that reduces the Fervour cost of all Prayers.

Location of Wax Seed #1

The first obtainable Wax Seed can be purchased from Regina’s shop for 12,000 Tears of Atonement. While a steep price, you can always come back later after you’ve obtained more money.

To find Regina’s shop, look for the sign with the skull in the right half of the City of Blessed Name. However, you can only enter Regina’s shop after you beat Orospina, Lady Embroiderer.

Location of Wax Seed #2

The next seed can also be bought from a merchant. You can buy the second Wax Seed from Medardo and Escolástico when they appear to the right of the boss room in the Severed Tower. To reach them at this spot, you’ll need to beat Sínodo, Hymn of the Thousand Voices, and then go right out of their boss room. This leads you into a room that’s technically in the Repose of the Silent One.

In Medardo and Escolástico’s inventory, you’ll see a Wax Seed on sale for 6,000 Tears of Atonement.

Location of Wax Seed #3

You’ll find Wax Seed #3 in the top-right corner of the Streets of Wakes. To reach it, you’ll need the ability to use yellow sparkles in the air as well as the double jump ability and Ruego Al Alba.

From the Prie Dieu in the Streets of Wakes, ascend the tall room until you reach a brown flesh wall in the top-right corner. Here’s a red arrow on the map image below that shows the way.

Use the highest yellow ring as a liftoff point where you can double jump into the air at an altitude that’ll let you use Ruego Al Alba’s dropdown attack to cut through the brown flesh wall.

Afterward, enter the screen to the right and you’ll find a Wax Seed on the ground.

Location of Wax Seed #4

To reach Wax Seed #4, you’ll need to backtrack from the Severed Tower into the upper left area of the Labyrinth of Tides. There’s a jumping puzzle here that leads to what you seek. To get through this obstacle course, you’ll need the ability to use yellow sparkles in the air as well as the ones that let you double jump and air dash.

From the lowest Prie Dieu in the Severed Tower, head down into the upper part of the Labyrinth of Tides. Go left until you enter a large room and then go up until you see some yellow sparkles above a pit of spikes. Here are the directions to this spot marked with a red arrow on the map image below.

You need to travel around this big room in a counter-clockwise manner. This can only be done by clearing the spike traps with the use of the aforementioned abilities. Once you reach the bottom of this large chamber, you’ll find a Wax Seed.

Location of Wax Seed #5

The fifth Wax Seed is located in the upper part of the Aqueduct of the Costales. You’ll need the ability to use yellow sparkles in the air as well as those that let you double jump and air dash to reach it.

From the upper Prie Dieu in the Aqueduct of the Costales, make your way as high up as you can before heading into the screen to the left. As soon as you enter this screen, below you, you’ll notice an item on a isolated ledge. This is a Wax Seed.

To reach this spot, we’ve outlined the path with a red arrow on the map image below.

Once you get here, you’ll need to drop down to the left of the ledge holding the Wax Seed. If you have Scion’s Protection, a couple of yellow rings will appear. Use them to jump up to the right and then make use of the climbable wall to ascend to the ledge above.

After you make it to the ledge, you’re free to scoop up the Wax Seed.

Location of Wax Seed #6

The last of all the Wax Seeds in Blasphemous 2 is located at the bottom of the Two Moons area. From the lowest Prie Dieu in the Two Moons, head into the screen to the right and go up until you spot an item on a ledge next to a glass mechanism.

There are no obstacles in your way this time. A few enemies populate this room, but most of them are pushovers.

You’ll have likely seen this item from the right side of the locked gate as you were exploring the Two Moons; however, you’re now able to claim this prize!

Once you have all Wax Seeds in Blasphemous 2, you can complete Cesáreo’s quest by returning to him in the Severed Tower. After planting all the Wax Seeds, he’ll give you the Remembrance of Cesáreo.

You can bring this to the sculptor in the City of the Blessed Name to get the Selfless Father Altarpiece Favour—which, when equipped, reduces the Fervour cost of all Prayers. This is a great Favour to equip if you plan to use Resonances to enhance the power of your Quick Verse Prayers and Chants alike. You’re one step closer to your perfect build!
