Talismans For Any Mage Builds
There are a handful of talismans in the game that benefits any mage builds, regardless of whether they lean more towards sorceries or incantations, or both.
Cerulean Amber Medallion +2
The Cerulean Amber Medallion +2 increases your FP by 11%.
This should just be a talisman as you’re still building up your Mind stat. As soon as you level that stat up, you can change this for another talisman that increases your damage output.
You can find this talisman in the underground room in Lunar Estate Ruins in Liurnia. Prepare one Stonesword Key as you’ll need it to clear the fog gate at the entrance to the underground. The entrance to the underground is also an illusory wall. Simply hit the ground to the right of the Imp Statue and the path will clear for you.
Magic Scorpion Charm
The Magic Scorpion Charm talisman raises your magic damage. However, it also lowers your damage negation. This is something you’ll need to consider. If you believe you can avoid attacks enough to make the damage bonus warranted, feel free to equip this charm.
You can obtain this talisman from Seluvis after you give him the Amber Starlight.
Moon of Nokstella
The Moon of Nokstella gives you two more memory slots. If you deem it necessary to equip more spells, this talisman can give you the slots you need.
You can find this talisman in a chest in the highest building in Nokstella, Eternal City. It’s guarded by a Nox Swordstress and two Silver Tears.
Cerulean Seed Talisman
The Cerulean Seed Talisman increases the amount of FP restored by the Flask of Cerulean Tears. A Flask of Cerulean Tears +12, its maximum level, restores 220 FP. With this talisman equipped, you can raise that to 264 FP.
This is found in the highest section of the Carian Study Hall, on a corpse that’s laying on a wooden beam. Be mindful of the rats that are roaming around here. The tower needs to be in its original state for you to reach this area.
Primal Glintstone Blade
The Primal Glintstone Blade talisman reduces the FP cost of spells by 25%. Its downside is that it also lowers your maximum HP by 15%. Whether this trade-off is worthwhile or not fully depends on how well you can avoid getting hit by enemies in the game.
You can find this talisman in a chest in the underground area of the Stargazer’s Ruins. You’ll need to summon the Spirit Jellyfish here to unlock the seal to the underground.
Old Lord’s Talisman
The Old Lord’s Talisman is great for those who cast spell buffs as this extends their duration by 30%. This includes buffs that provide continuous healing.
You can find this talisman in Crumbling Farum Azula, in a chest located inside a small structure. You’ll also find a couple of Azula Beastmen here, guarding and circling the chest.
Marika’s Soreseal
Marika’s Soreseal is great for mage builds who dabble in both sorceries and incantations. This legendary talisman increases your Mind, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane stats by 5. However, it also increases the damage you take by 15%.
You can find this in a room found on the ground level beyond the Prayer Room in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. You’ll need a Stonesword Key to enter the room.
Ancestral Spirit’s Horn
This is a handy talisman that allows you to restore 3 FP every time you defeat an enemy. You can get this by defeating the Regal Ancestor and giving its Remembrance to Enia at the Roundtable Hold.
Talismans For Intelligence Builds
Intelligence mage builds mainly use sorceries. Some of the game’s most powerful spells belong to this magic type, which makes intelligence builds very dangerous.
These are the talismans you should use if you’re going for an Intelligence build character. Equip four of any of these and you’ll be making the most out of your build.
Stargazer Heirloom
The Stargazer Heirloom increases your Intelligence stat by 5. You can find this at the top of the Divine Tower of Liurnia.
You’ll first need the Carian Inverted Statue to invert the Carian Study Hall to get to the tower. To obtain the Carian Inverted Statue, follow Ranni’s questline until you give her the Fingerslayer Blade. She’ll give you this key item in return.
Graven-School Talisman
The Graven-School Talisman raises the damage of your sorceries by 4%. You can find this in Raya Lucaria Academy.
Start from the Debate Parlor Site of Grace and take the western exit. Look to your right and you’ll spot an empty bookshelf. Hit it to reveal a secret path.
Follow the path from here and you’ll eventually find yourself in a room that houses a few Living Jars. You’ll find the talisman in this room, sitting on a crystal formation.
Graven-Mass Talisman
The Graven-Mass Talisman increases the potency of your sorceries by 8%. Equip this and the Graven-School Talisman and you’ll gain a total of 12% sorcery damage bonus.
You can obtain this talisman by looting a chest on the top area of Albinauric Rise in Consecrated Snowfield. You can unlock the seal on the entrance of the tower by making the two imps around the tower fight each other. Alternatively, you can also summon the Fanged Imp Ashes and use it to defeat an imp.
Talismans For Faith Builds
Faith mage builds use incantations instead of sorceries. Incantations have more variations compared to sorceries. Whereas the latter is restricted to Glintstone spells, Gravity spells, and a few Ice and Fire sorceries, incantation builds have Dragon Communion, Aspects of Crucible, Bestial, Fire, Blood, and more.
These talismans are perfect for faith builds, regardless of the incantation type they prefer.
Two Fingers Heirloom
The Two Fingers Heirloom talisman raises your Faith stat by 5. You can find this in the underground room of the Purified Ruins in Liurnia. The entrance to the underground is blocked by a wooden platform. Simply strike it to enter the underground.
Lightning Scorpion Charm
The Lightning Scorpion Charm raises by 12%, but also increases the physical damage you receive by 10%.
This talisman is great for lightning incantations such as Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Spear, Lansseax’s Glaive, Vyke’s Dragonbolt, and more.
You can pick this up in the Wyndham Catacombs in Altus Plateau. It is in the room that’s blocked by a fog gate.
Fire Scorpion Charm
The Fire Scorpion Charm talisman has the same effects as the talisman above, but for fire incantations. You can find this on a wooden platform on the western ramparts of Fort Laiedd in Mt. Gelmir.
Sacred Scorpion Charm
The Sacred Scorpion Charm works similarly to the two previous talismans, but its effects benefit incantations that deal holy damage. This includes spells such as Elden Stars, Discus of Light, Triple Rings of Light, and Radagon’s Rings of Light.
You can obtain this talisman after defeating Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater at the Smoldering Church in Caelid.
Faithful’s Canvas Talisman
The Faithful’s Canvas Talisman raises the potency of your incantations by 4%. You’ll find this in Sellia Crystal Tunnel, on a corpse that’s leaning against the rock wall on a raised wooden platform. The corpse is guarded by two Lesser Kindred of Rot enemies.
Flock’s Canvas Talisman
The Flock’s Canvas Talisman raises the damage your incantations deal by 8%. You can get this by killing Gowry, but only when he is crying about Millicent’s fate.
You can make this happen by completing Millicent’s questline, regardless if you choose to fight alongside her or against her. After this is done, return to Gowry’s Shack and you should find him here mourning Millicent’s death.
Lord of Blood’s Exultation
Equip this talisman if you constantly use Blood incantations such as Bloodboon, Bloodflame Talons, and Swarm of Flies — which all build up blood loss. Once equipped, this talisman will give you a 20% boost in attack power for 20 seconds when an enemy gets inflicted with blood loss.
You can obtain this talisman after defeating Esgar, Priest of Blood, the boss at the end of Leyndell Catacombs.
You must first pass through the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds to get to Leyndell Catacombs. In the area where you walk on top of water pipes, make your way to the ground level where the giant lobsters are. To the right of the second lobster is an opening that leads to Leyndell Catacombs.
Kindred of Rot’s Exultation
The Kindred of Rot’s Exultation talisman has the same effects as the talisman above, but for poison and scarlet rot buffs. This talisman is suitable for Faith builds that use Poison Mist and Scarlet Aeonia. These two are Servents of Rot incantations that deal poison and scarlet rot, respectively.
You obtain this talisman after defeating the Kindred of Rot boss at the end of the Seethewater Cave in Mt. Gelmir.
